This website is dedicated to providing resources and helps for Christian believers in Alabama to enable them to more effectively reach their communities for Christ.  The Alabama State Board of Missions provides resources, training, and coaching to our associations, churches and church planters.  This site is provided for us by the Intercultural Institute for Contextual Ministry:  here you will find missional analysis and reports from IICM upon which you can create missional response teams to begin new new ministries and new congregations in your area.  Some of the resources on this site include:

  • Our State - a missional analysis of Alabama
  • Communities - information about the six types of communities in our state
  • Cultures -- information about ethnic cultural neighborhoods in our state
  • Congregations -- identifying the type of communities in which Alabama Baptist Churches are located
  • Mission Sites -- a map of top locations of lostness across the state where new ministries and new churches need to be started.
  • Missional Resources -- links to a large number of PDF reports that you can download -- provided in partnership with the Intercultural Institute for Contextual Ministry.
  • Prayer Maps -- a state summary page and links to weekly regional prayer maps at www.missionalprayermaps.org -- just click, register and log in.
  • Missional Corps - a networking site with zipcode data search -- just click, register and log in.
  • ALSBOM Team -- your team of state missionaries who are ready to serve you as you develop mission outposts and new churches
  • Contact Us -- information so that you can contact the ALSBOM team
